Web Cams

Sometimes the thing that you really need is to see a cute little critter.  For us librarians our go-to's are Jelly Fish and Otters.  Everyone has their thing though!  Check out these Live Stream Cams or Aquariums and Zoos and let the animals just melt your stress away!

https://www.montereybayaquarium.org/animals/live-cams - Check out the Otters and the Jellyfish in particular.  Be careful though.  Since California is three hours behind us try watching in the afternoon so you don't get a pre-recording.

https://www.georgiaaquarium.org/webcam/jelly-webcam/ - If you need to just kick back and be mesmorized by something jellyfish are just the ticket.  There's something about these guys that won't let you look away!

https://www.tnaqua.org/live-cams/ - This one is a nice way to get ready to being back out there.  Our own Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga will let you take a peek at some of their animals including the penguins and otters until we get back out there!

https://zooatlanta.org/panda-cam/ - You can never have to many Pandas!  And these guys are pretty close.  Look in on the Pandas in Atlanta and see what they are up to.

https://www.memphiszoo.org/animal-cams - Here's another TN set of webcams.  These are at the Memphis Zoo and have not only more Pandas, but hippos, elephants and flamingos!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0IBqtO1K28 - Puppies!

If animals aren't your thing, or you prefer to see them in their natural environment there are a lot cameras out there that focus on nature.  Our Natural Parks may be closed to visitors, but the animals and the scenery are always there for us to enjoy!

https://www.nps.gov/media/multimedia-search.htm#fq%5B%5D=Type%3A%22Webcam%22 - Check out this list of webcams from our natural parks!  There are still some to the west in the mountains where snow is still covering the cameras!

https://www.smokiesinformation.org/weather-and-webcams - This is a great list of webcams and information about the Great Smokey Mountains.

https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/photosmultimedia/webcams.htm - You don't have to travel all the way to Wyoming to see Old Faithful!  This live stream features a wide screen view of multiple geysers in Yellowstone National Park including, Old Faithful.  Keep your eyes out for the Bison!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC-J27EF800&feature=youtu.be - Not only do you get to see Artic screnery, but if you're really lucky you might be able to see a Polar Bear!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N609loYkFJo&feature=youtu.be - With this webcam you get a nice view of the woods behind and some very popular bird feeders in front!

https://www.twrf.net/elk-cam - You might have to check back a few times before you see elk, but you don't have to go to the west or a big national park to enjoy the wildlife!

http://friendsofharrisonbay.org/eagle-cam/ - Speaking of Tennessee wildlife, these guys are right around the corner from us!  Check in to see if you can see the Eagles doing some interesting things out in Harrison Bay State Park.
